Statistical Process Control.
The ENP Laboratory uses state-of-the-art, automatic controllers for electroless nickel-plating baths. These controllers maintain the bath’s operating parameters within very close limits and with a minimum of operator assistance. They also monitor the bath’s chemistry and temperature and will automatically initiate chemical replenishment pumping. The chemical pumps make the necessary additions of solutions to keep the baths at their optimum operating state. It similarly maintains a record of the bath, its age, and the volume of chemicals used and those that remain available to be added. The use of the controller allows the bath to be analyzed much more often than can be done through normal chemical titrations in the laboratory.
